Coldplay Fever Hits Mumbai: Hotels Near Venue Charge Up to ₹5 Lakh for Three Nights

Coldplay Concert Frenzy Sends Hotel Prices Soaring Near Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium - News18

n Navi Mumbai have skyrocketed, with some properties charging as much as ₹5 lakh for just three nights. Most five-star hotels in the area are already fully booked for the concert dates of January 18, 19, and 21.

Accommodations within a 20-kilometer radius of the venue are capitalizing on the surge in demand, with rates surpassing those typically seen during the New Year’s celebrations. Notably, popular hotels like the Courtyard by Marriott and Taj Vivanta in Vashi have reported zero availability, according to MakeMyTrip.

The frenzy surrounding Coldplay’s concerts has prompted tickets to sell out almost instantly, leading to the announcement of a third show on January 21. In response to this overwhelming demand, hotels are significantly raising their rates. For example, Fortune Select Exotica in Vashi is charging ₹2.45 lakh for a room for three guests from January 17 to 20, while Fern Residency in Turbhe lists a room for two at nearly ₹2 lakh for the same period. Another hotel, Regenza by Tunga, is offering a room for a staggering ₹4.45 lakh for three nights during the concert series.
